November 2, 2006my twelfth tv ad... posted at 06:00 AM This was supposed to be my 3-month hiatus from work, but I simply cannot resist taking on yet another TV commercial, my 12th to date... This time I am appearing as a music producer with a local mega star (don't ask, you'll find out soon enough!), along with two other talents, Fiona and Lester... Ours was a very short scene, and despite the hour plus wait, took us only about 15-30 mins to actually film it... Here are the pics taken during this brief shoot...

Fiona, with Director Kelvin Tong, Producer Leon Tong, me, and Lester behind This ad will be screened very soon, so do look out for it come early December! We ended the shoot at about 3.30am, and Lester, Fiona and I ended up at a 24-hr coffee shop near my place for supper. Alas, the food stalls were all closed by then. Lester got boiled eggs while I bought Kimchi Ramen cup noodles from the nearest 7-11, better than nothing... Now I am still full, and wide awake... :S [ Feeling... * cheerful * ] comments

and so i turn 34... posted at 07:06 AM under trivia and know-hows... As of today, 4th November 2006, I am officially 34 years of age... Looking back at some old childhood photos, I couldn't help but wonder how I ever grew up from a terribly timid boy into what I am today... Of course, being a Scorpio as well as a Water Rat, I am still very much the same, but I am more sociable and open hearted and willing to take on more adventures and risks... That said, I have my quiet hermit moments too, where I will disappear for a while to find myself within. And birthdays are such moments for me... So pardon me if I am unavailable for any parties or gatherings today. I'm taking some time off to visit my beloved parents at their temple altars, thank them for bringing me into this current life, and ask for some blessings at the same time. Will be right back... And of course, thank you all in advance for your generous well wishes, blessings, greetings, and gifts... HUGS!!! Since I mentioned my childhood photos, I have decided to post some of them here, kind of serving as a visual reminder for myself too... Just don't laugh ok?

one housewarming and three scorpios... posted at 05:34 AM Yesterday, my younger sister Alain had a little housewarming party for our relatives and her friends at her new flat just across the road from mine... To make the most of the occasion, we also kind of celebrated my birthday, as well as her two daughters', Sheryl's and Shermaine's, birthdays too... Mine was a belated 4th November, Sheryl (my older niece, 10yo) was born on 18th November, while Shermaine (the younger one, 9yo) was born on 11th November. Between the three of us, we have 1 Ox, 2 Rats and 3 Scorpios... Here are some photos of the party, as well as the catered Indian food and cake...

photo-taking trip the light fantastic... posted at 04:20 PM under snapshots of merman... Last Saturday, met up with Kairin and Kit for a random photo-taking trip along Citilink Mall to the Esplanade... Both of them brought their manual Lomo cameras, and I took a few shots using Kairin's for the fun of it... But since we've not finished up those films, I can only post what I've got in my digital camera...
After the trip, we had dinner at Marina Square's Food Court, followed by hot drinks at McCafe after Kit left for work...
After chatting with Kairin about some possible design plans, I remembered my friends Daniel and Timothy who've just opened a new collector's toy store called "PlayPen Collectibles"... And whadayaknow! More exciting possibilities have just opened up for me, and there and then, I decided to go Hong Kong with them in January to attend the annual Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair!!! new projects begun last night... posted at 04:29 AM under snapshots of merman... Although I've sworn off active work for the remainder of this year, somehow I found myself involved in two more new short-termed projects... And both had begun exactly yesterday! The first project is a short musical skit for a local association's event, directed by Loretta Tan, and includes Lee Weng Kee, Elizabeth "Boo" Tan, Siti Z., Dwayne Lau, Eleine Ng and myself in the cast... The music will be composed by Bang Wenfu and choregraphy by Desmond Chen... That's about 5 rehearsals and a recording, and the show's next Saturday! The second project involves me teaching a group of youngsters from the Kong Meng San Youth Artistes Club vocal lessons every Friday night for the next few weeks, then possibly again next year... The first lesson went pretty well, and I tried on a few vocal exercises and games that I specially created for the kids to play, and tried to identify their individual strengths and weaknesses... Here are the students... ![]() Kong Meng San Young Artistes Club Students Fu Yiren (Ah Fu), the Project Officer of the Cultural & Performance Department at Kong Meng San Monastery, participated in the class to but wasn't in the photo, and Jalyn Han, who created the Young Artiste Club much like another group that I taught, the OmniArts Troupers, wasn't there too... Well, it was a long journey back home after the class, but I am pretty glad that I have been given these new projects, and doing the things I love! [ Feeling... * working * ] |
