illo friday - fresh...

After weeks of participating in PhotoFriday.com's Weekly Photo Challenge, I am now ready to submit entries for Illustration Friday too...

And this week's illustration theme is...

Fresh

The first thing that I thought of when I saw the theme, was freshly laid eggs, with eggs being one of my all-time favourite food ingredient, so that's how this particular image came about...

And for my renewed interests and attempts at illustration work, I have chosen a fresh approach:

Firstly, I drew the black outlines onto a whiteboard with a black marker...

Then I took a photo of it with my digital camera, and uploaded it to my PC...

I edited the digital image using Adobe ImageReady 7.0 software and added in the colours and shadings etc to form the complete picture...

Hope you like the end result...

An interesting new approach. I like the whimsical chicken and fresh-labeled egg. Nice job!

Haha thanks gal, I've always enjoyed doodling and sketching and it's one of my dreams to be a children's book illustrator...
I must have a larger right brain, but just don't ask me to do any mathematic sums...
